Legacy Hair By Kaur began as a dream I brought to life in 2007 with the opening of Kaur Lounge—a space devoted to expert haircare and true client connections. From the beginning, I envisioned a sanctuary where clients would feel seen, valued, and transformed. Through a commitment to personalized, high-quality hair experiences, I cultivated a loyal community that cherished these principles
The name “Kaur,” meaning “princess” in Punjabi, holds deep significance in my family, honoring the women who came before me—my mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. This legacy of strength and elegance has always been at the heart of my work.
My journey into the industry began with an apprenticeship in Vancouver, BC, in 1993, which sparked a passion for learning and the development of new talent. This experience shaped my career and remains a guiding force in how I approach my work today. As Kaur Lounge evolved into Legacy Hair Co. and now Legacy Hair By Kaur, I’ve continued to prioritize growth, innovation, and a return to the core values that inspired me.
