Legacy Hair by Kaur is operated by Kaur Lounge Inc. ("Legacy Hair by Kaur," "we," "us," or "our"), 2124 James Street, Bellingham, WA 98225. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit legacyhairbykaur.com, book with us, call or text us, or visit the salon, and how we use and protect it.
We will never sell your personal information.
1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Information you give us:
- Contact details: name, phone number, email address, and mailing address.
- Booking details: services requested, appointment history, stylist preferences, and notes about your hair, color formulas, and service preferences.
- Payment details: a card on file to hold appointments and to pay for services and products. Card numbers are processed and stored by our payment providers, not on our own systems.
- Messages and form submissions: anything you send through our contact, career, apprenticeship, or model forms, by email, by text, or through social media.
- Photos: before and after photos of your hair, taken only with your permission.
Information collected automatically:
- Website usage: pages visited, device and browser type, approximate location, and how you arrived at our site. We use cookies and similar tools, including Google Analytics, to understand how our website is used.
- Advertising: we may use tools from Google and Meta (Facebook and Instagram) to measure our ads and show our ads to people who have visited our site.
Phone calls:
- Calls to the salon may be answered by our team or by an automated AI receptionist that helps answer questions and take booking requests. Calls handled by the AI receptionist may be recorded and transcribed so we can follow up on your request.
2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use your information to:
- Book, confirm, remind you about, and manage your appointments.
- Provide your services and keep a record of your hair history and formulas.
- Process payments, deposits, and fees under our Salon Policies.
- Answer your questions and respond to messages, reviews, and form submissions.
- Send appointment reminders and service updates by text or email.
- Send promotions, news, and offers if you have opted in. You can opt out at any time.
- Review job and apprenticeship applications.
- Improve our website, services, and guest experience.
- Protect our business, guests, and team, and comply with the law.
3. TEXT MESSAGES (SMS)
If you give us your mobile number, you agree to receive text messages from Legacy Hair by Kaur about your appointments, such as confirmations and reminders. Marketing texts are sent only if you have opted in. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

We do not sell or share your mobile number or text messaging consent with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
4. HOW WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION
We share information only with trusted service providers that help us run the salon, and only as needed for them to do that work. These include:
- Boulevard (booking, client records, payments, appointment texts and emails)
- Squarespace (our website, forms, and online store)
- Payment processors (to process card payments securely)
- Google and Meta (website analytics and advertising)
- Our AI phone receptionist provider (to answer calls and take booking requests)
- Our accountants and professional advisors, when needed
We may also share information if required by law, to protect our rights or safety, or as part of a sale or transfer of our business.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with others for their own marketing.
5. YOUR CHOICES
- Emails: click "unsubscribe" in any marketing email.
- Texts: reply STOP to any text.
- Cookies: you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. You can opt out of Google Analytics at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
- Ads: you can manage ad preferences in your Google and Meta account settings.

6. CONSUMER HEALTH DATA (WASHINGTON)
Some information related to hair loss, scalp conditions, sensitivities, or allergies may be considered consumer health data under Washington's My Health My Data Act. 7. HOW WE PROTECT YOUR INFORMATION
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including secure, encrypted payment processing through our providers and limited access to client records. No system is completely secure, but we work to keep your information safe.
8. HOW LONG WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION
We keep client records for as long as you are a guest of the salon and for a reasonable time afterward, so we can keep your service history and meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see Section 5).
9. CHILDREN
Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. Services for minors are booked by a parent or guardian.
10. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when it was last updated.
