TERMS OF SERVICE

These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to your use of legacyhairbykaur.com, our online booking, our online store, our text and email messages, and services at Legacy Hair by Kaur, operated by Kaur Lounge Inc. ("Legacy Hair by Kaur," "we," "us," or "our"), 2124 James Street, Bellingham, WA 98225.
By using our website, booking an appointment, or buying a product, you agree to these Terms, our Salon Policies, and our Privacy Policy.
1. BOOKING AND APPOINTMENTS
- Appointments can be booked online, by phone, or in the salon.
- A valid credit card is required to reserve all appointments.
- You agree to give accurate information when booking, including your contact details and any information that affects your service, such as allergies, sensitivities, or recent chemical services.
- Service times and prices shown online are estimates. Final pricing may vary based on hair length, density, condition, products used, and the time your service takes. Your stylist will discuss pricing during your consultation.
- Some services, such as extensions and hair loss solutions, require a consultation before booking.
2. CANCELLATIONS, NO-SHOWS, AND LATE ARRIVALS
Our full Salon Policies are posted at legacyhairbykaur.com/salon-policies and are part of these Terms. In summary:
- Cancellation: we require 72 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations within 72 hours will be charged 50% of the scheduled service. Same-day cancellations may be charged up to 100% of the service.
- No-shows: will be charged 100% of the scheduled service.
- Late arrivals: if you are more than 15 minutes late, we will do our best to fit you in within the remaining time, but we may need to adjust or reschedule your service.
- By booking, you authorize us to charge the card on file for these fees.

3. SERVICE GUARANTEE
If you are not fully happy with your results, contact us within 7 days of your appointment. We offer complimentary adjustments to the original service during that time. Adjustments do not include changes to the style or service you originally requested. We do not offer refunds on services.
4. PRODUCTS AND ONLINE ORDERS
- Unopened products may be exchanged or returned for store credit within 14 days with proof of purchase.
- Opened or used products cannot be returned for hygiene and safety reasons, unless defective. Contact us within 14 days of purchase about any concern.
- Product prices and availability may change without notice. We may cancel an order if a product is unavailable or a price was listed in error, and we will refund any payment for a cancelled order.
5. GIFT CARDS
Gift cards can be used toward services and products at Legacy Hair by Kaur. Gift cards cannot be redeemed for cash except where required by law. Please treat gift cards like cash. We are not responsible for lost or stolen cards.
6. TEXT MESSAGES (SMS)
By giving us your mobile number, you agree to receive appointment-related text messages from Legacy Hair by Kaur, such as confirmations and reminders. Marketing texts are sent only if you opt in. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. Consent to marketing texts is not a condition of any purchase.
7. YOUR HEALTH AND SAFETY
Please tell your stylist about allergies, skin or scalp sensitivities, medical conditions, medications, pregnancy, or recent chemical services that could affect your service. We may recommend a patch or strand test, and we may decline or change a service if we believe it is not safe for your hair or skin. Results depend on your hair's history and condition, and we cannot guarantee a specific result.
8. PHOTOS
With your permission, we may take before and after photos of your hair. We may share these on our website and social media without your name. You can tell us at any time that you do not want photos taken or shared.
9. MODEL AND TRAINING SERVICES
Model services offered at reduced prices are performed by stylists and apprentices in training under supervision. Training services may take longer than standard appointments, and the Service Guarantee may be limited for these services.
10. SALON ENVIRONMENT
To keep the salon calm and focused, only guests with appointments may be in the service area. Friends and children should stay in designated seating areas. Children are welcome only if receiving a service or accompanied by an adult. We may refuse service to anyone who is disruptive, unsafe, or disrespectful to our guests or team.
11. WEBSITE USE
- The content on our website, including text, photos, logos, and designs, belongs to Legacy Hair by Kaur or is used with permission. Please do not copy or use it without our written permission.
- You agree not to misuse our website, including attempting to interfere with how it works or submitting false information.
- Our website may link to other sites, such as our booking platform and social media. We are not responsible for the content or practices of those sites.
12. AI AND AUTOMATED TOOLS
We may use automated and AI-powered tools, such as an AI phone receptionist or online chat and booking assistants, to answer questions and help with bookings. These tools may make mistakes. Your booking is confirmed only when you receive a confirmation from us. For anything important, please call or email the salon directly.
13. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Legacy Hair by Kaur is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our website or services. Our total liability for any claim related to a service or product will not exceed the amount you paid for that service or product. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under Washington law that cannot be waived.
14. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Whatcom County, Washington.
15. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
We may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when they were last updated. Continuing to use our website or services after an update means you accept the updated Terms.
